BRATISLAVA (February 1) - Results of Japanese wrestlers at the 1st Olympic qualification tournament for freestyle wrestling at Sport Hall Mladost in Bratislava:
84 kg - YOKOYAMA, Hidekazu (Akita Shogyo high school, teacher)
F1 - lost to Eldar Assanov (UKR), 0-4
Yokoyama and his flexible counter-style of wrestling could not stop the single-leg attack of Assanov. The Japanese Olympic veteran could not get his sweeps and little trips working either as he gave up three single-leg takedowns off knee picks in a one-sided match.
